What is the max. working pressure?

2200 kPa

Is it safe?

Yes, however you need to exercise extreme caution when working with any fluid & gas under pressure

Can I install it myself?

Yes, full installation guidelines are available upon request

Can I use it outdoors?

Yes, the pipe is suitable for long term exposure to the natural elements and U.V.

Can I bury it in the ground?

Yes, as it is resistant to corrosion

Do you need any special tools?

No, except you need a "Socket Fusion" welder for the welded system

Can it sustain heavy impacts without breaking?

Yes, it has very high impact resistance

What happens if it becomes damaged?

The pipe can generally withstand surface damage of 10% without affecting it's overall performance, however severe damage failure is of a ductile nature and will not fragment or shatter.

Is it rigid or flexible and will it sag?

It is semi-rigid and will often allow it it flex over minor obstructions such as electrical conduit.

What standards does it meet?

It will comply fully with AS1345-1995 it will also satisfy AS4041, AS1180.10B, UL94

Is it suitable for food contact?

Yes

Why is it coloured?

To readily identify the class of conveyed material.

Can I bend it?

Yes, you can cold bend it to 22 x the O.D. However it should not be heated prior to bending.

Can I get it in any colour?

Only if you can satisfy our minimum order requirements

How long has it been on the market?

Our products have been used in Australia since 1989

Does it come in coils?

No

Yes, it can handle full vacuum

Can I use with LPG or LNG?

No, it is only suitable for inert gases such as Nitrogen, Argon, Carbon Dioxide etc.

Is it safe for drinking water?

Yes

What type of chemicals can it handle?

Many types of acids and alkalis. A full chemical resistance chart is available upon request

Is it an automatic system?

It is semi automatic system with the 2nd protection level against radian heat being activated by heat sensors

How much water does it need?

We recommend a minimum of 25,000 litres to give effective protection for approx. 2.5hrs
